Yahiko Shrine
Yahiko Shrine has been worshiped since ancient times as Echigo Ichinomiya (a premier shrine of the old Echigo Province). It is known locally as Oyahikosama, and more than 200,000 worshipers visit the shrine on New Year's Day every year. The shrine is surrounded by forests, giving it a sacred atmosphere, and you can enjoy beautiful nature and walking through the woods throughout the year.
