West Japan Railway Company
The West Japan Railway Company, also known as JR West, operates railways in Osaka, Kyoto and the rest of western Japan, and is one of Japan’s foremost railway companies. The company operates a total of 5,008.7 kilometers of active rail lines, with approximately 5 million people riding its trains every day.
Kansai-Airport Express “HARUKA” offers great access to city centers, and for trips to the Sanyo-San'in area, the Sanyo Shinkansen and the “Super Hakuto” and “Yakumo” limited express trains are convenient. Take the “Thunderbird” Limited Express from Osaka to visit the Hokuriku region, where you can also travel to Tokyo on the Hokuriku Shinkansen.
