The Yamanaka Onsen has a history going back 1,300 years. The Yuge Kaido road that runs through Yamanaka features many galleries such as Yamanaka Lacquerware and Kutaniyaki (Japanese porcelain). Along the road there are cafes and restaurants you can visit while enjoying a nice stroll.
