Ipponsugi-dori Street
Ipponsugi-dori Street is a street that stretches for 450 m from the bridge with red handrails over Misogi River, which flows past Nanao Station. It has a history of over 600 years.
The street is lined with many old, historical shops that have been registered as tangible cultural properties of Japan. There are around 50 shops, and visitors can enjoy a stroll while meeting local people and taking part in a soy sauce making workshop at a soy sauce brewery, or a tea grinding workshop at a tea shop.
