Echigo-Tsumari Satoyama Museum of Contemporary Art

This museum plays a central role in the Echigo Tsumari Art Field. Exposed concrete and lavish use of glass give a quiet appearance to the building, separating the peaceful interior from the noisy outside. Inside, rooms are nested inside each other, a traditional form of Japanese architecture, found in sacred places such as temples and shrines. Inside the facility is the Dining Bar Echigo Shinanogawa, where visitors may enjoy meals and drinks, along with Akashi no yu, a stylish hot spring.
