Yamanaka-za Theater
Located in the center of the Yamanaka Onsen town, Yamanaka-za Theater is a place where visitors can enjoy elegant "songs" and "dances" by Yamanaka Geisha, who are dedicated to preserving Yamanaka-bushi, Yamanaka Onsen’s iconic folk song. In addition, the architecture itself is worth seeing, as the interior was built by a total of 1,500 Yamanaka lacquerware craftsmen, and Yamanaka-nuri lacquer techniques can be seen everywhere, such as the ceiling and pillars of the lobby.
